teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) is an evidence-based program that teaches young people ages 14–20 how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in their friends and peers.
Participants will learn:
How to recognize signs that a friend may be struggling
How to start supportive conversations
When and how to involve a responsible, trusted adult
Skills that promote mental health awareness and peer support
This course consists of one class delivered in three 90-minute sessions:
